The Sacrament of Baptism is normally celebrated the first Sunday of each month during or after the 10 a.m. Mass.
The minimum expectation for those who seek baptism for their child is active participation in our parish by attending Sunday Mass consistently and sacrificial tithing. Current parishioner registration and a Discipleship Renewal form must be on record with Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church prior to baptism. Parents who seek baptism for their child must schedule a one-on-one meeting with Father.
Godparent Requirements:
- There must be at least one Catholic godparent.
- If two godparents are chosen, they must be one man and one woman.
- Catholic godparents must be 16 years of age, have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation and consistently attend Mass on Sunday.
- Godparents, if married, must have a valid Catholic marriage.
